Richie Menchavez is the creator and founder of TRAKTIVIST, the premiere platform to discover, promote, and historically archive music made by Asian Americans. The website, Traktivist.com, operates as a central, online hub, offering quality, convenience, and cultural value through a unique cataloging. Richie is also the DJ and host for Traktivist Radio, a monthly, online show which features music made by Asian Americans, as well as interviews with artists, organizations, and leaders from the Asian American community. Richie currently writes as a guest contributor for the Center For Asian American Media.

Christine Minji Chang

Christine Minji Chang is an actor, entrepreneur, and community activist currently presiding as the Executive Director of Kollaboration, a 15 year strong grassroots movement spanning North America by means of 14 city chapters showcasing Asian Pacific Islander American artists. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a major in Public Health and exploring bizarre and silly careers in community health, medicine and technology, she finally came to her senses and decided to pursue the much more stable and practical career of acting. After numerous short films and commercial work in her native San Francisco, she moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to carve out her place in Tinseltown. She trained at UC Berkeley, the American University in Paris, Beverly Hills Playhouse San Francisco with Robert Zimmerman and currently trains at Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles.

We pride ourselves in representing a diversity of background, artistry, and experience, all fostered in the unique melting pot that is Southern California. It is this desire to combine creative energies and spread this diversity of music across community and cultures that inspired our name.

Adrienne Andisheh, Violin

Adrienne Andisheh has been playing and performing on the violin for over 20 years. Former pedagogues and mentors include William Preucil, concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra, and Professors Allen Ohmes and Don Haines of the Stradivarius Quartet. In addition to co-founding the Angeles String Quartet, she is an avid chamber music and orchestral player and concertizes throughout the Greater LA area, equally at home in the orchestra pit as on stage at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Felix Hernandez has had extensive concertizing and touring experience on violin and viola over the last 15 years. He has been a representative at music festivals abroad and nationally at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. He is a member of the Sophia String Quartet and is an ASTA and CODA member.

Tim Hummel, Cello

Tim Hummel is an accomplished string player and currently concertmaster of the Crown City Symphony Orchestra of Pasadena/Altadena. He studies violin under Dr. Svetlana Oganesian in La Canada and cello with Lucien LaPorte of the Paganini Quartet. He is also a 30 year member of the California Bar as a sole practitioner specializing in probate, estate planning and trust law.

Lydia Yun studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music, starting on violin at age 4 and piano at age 6. An active chamber music and orchestral player for many years, she is currently concertmaster of the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and has performed in venues across the country such as Severance Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Walt Disney Concert Hall here in Los Angeles. She is also a member of the California Bar.
